Let's get the worst out of the way so I can move past my shame and chagrin.
Exhibit A: Jennifer Davis Is Inadvertently Offensive (Again)
I know, I know. Listen, in the South, there is a strong celebration of the independent spirit. In my experience, the Rebel flag had nothing to do with race or slavery anymore, but was about that independent-spirit thing. Now that I've spent a considerable amount of time in the North, and now that I've recognized enough prejudice in all regions that still uses this flag to demean others, I can say nothing else but, "Um, yeah, sorry." *great big, winning smile* I didn't know.
Jed had this picture framed on his dresser in his first college dorm, and his roommate was genuinely terrified of me. Let us now move on from my redneck ways.
Exhibit B: Jed Finley Really Loves His Cat
I cannot think of anything witty enough to do this picture justice. It speaks for itself. This man is tender-hearted, caring, and brave. Maybe that's why he fell for Redneck Girl.
It might be construed from both of these pictures that Jed and I are actually psychos. I leave that to your determination, but I leave you with...
Exhibit C: Two Normal Kids Who Found Each Other
Don't dwell too much on the same smile, the same eyes, and the same hair cut. It's not like we're psychos who just wanted to marry ourselves... And mightn't it have made more sense from our poses that I had the saddle and he had the chair? It's as though they belong together.
I lied about leaving you with Exhibit C. With Jed's permission, I leave you with...
Exhibit D: Man and His Music
It's truly delightful what photographers can get us to do so they can capture it forever.
Happy Graduation to all you grads out there!
